Topman CTRL recording...

Tom Williams & the Boat have released an ‘In Situ’ session. It comes courtesy of Topman CTRL, a music project from the famed store which shines a light on some of the best, new and emerging talents the UK has to offer, backed by well versed industry figures.

In this edition Tom Williams plays ‘Little Bit in Me’. The cave-like dimly lit setting of the session is perfectly matched with the song’s dark and personified nature. Watch the session below:

It’s taken from the band’s second studio album Teenage Blood, which is out now on Moshi Moshi and their own label Wire Boat Recordings. Here’s what radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens had to say:

“On 'Teenage Blood' they take both rock and folk influences, keep songs centred with some brilliant melodies, and the production is brilliant; as if you're there in the room with the band laying down these tracks.”

You can catch them at the Bestival Weekender and two London support slots in October and November.

Bestival: 6 – 9th
Kings College London Student Union, supporting Smoke Fairies 9th October
