The Satin Peaches

Pop savvy garage rock
_original

The Satin Peaches are four young men hailing from the spiritual home of garage rock'n'roll Detroit, Michigan who wowed the UK crowds at the tail end of 2007 on their whistle stop tour of the nation and are set to wow the record buying public with their debut self titled mini album.

The album is the result of the last few month's sessions in Los Angeles with noted producer Dave Sardy, who has worked with a long list of impressive clients, not least with our very own Oasis on their 'Don't Believe The Truth' album. Showing a confidence well beyond their tender ages, The Satin Peaches can be seen alongside countrymen Cage The Elephant as a new wave of raw and rocking talent breaking on these shores.

With their pop savvy garage rock, topped by frontman George Morris' neo Bowie/Billy Corgan nasal drawl, we can expect big things as they effortlessly tick all the boxes completing a package that'll appeal to the rock kids as much as the daytime radio listeners. This is no trad retread of their hometown's past glories though, the band sound urgent and fired up and bring their own influences to play, album track 'Wash It Away' verges on Bloc Party with frantic drumming and sheets of guitar noise. The band have their sights set on the UK, brace yourselves.
