The Maestro Returns. Win tickets, albums and clothes.

As Sasha’s recently unleashed second Involver album has been hitting tastemakers for the past few weeks, “The Man Like….” has been over from his New York base playing a run of gigs in the UK and Europe to support the album.

Over the next fortnight he rounds up these dates, opening up the Warehouse Project’s latest season in Manchester on Friday 26th September and appearing at Fabric’s brand spanking new Matter venue based at London the following day, Saturday 27th September.

Yet, sublime though these gigs will undoubtedly prove, Clash Music’s attention is indelibly drawn to the final gig of the run which sees Sasha touching down at Glasgow’s The Arches for his second Scottish visit of the year on Saturday 4th October at Streetrave’s 19th Birthday Party with a whole bunch of DJ mates in tow for this prime date in Glasgow’s clubbing calendar.

On Sasha’s progressive side of the bill, both Global Underground’s Danny Howells and the massively tipped Israeli DJ, Guy J are his well chosen supports with Guy J’s debut album “Esperanza” soon to drop on Bedrock Recordings. Meanwhile Sasha’s old cohorts from FAC51 The Hacienda are also in town, bringing with them New Order’s Peter Hook, Danny Rampling and Graeme Park to round up what is arguably one of The Arches' strongest line ups of the year well suited to Streetrave’s long-standing reputation and pedigree.

On subsequent pages, a largely reformed raver and Clash scribe dissects Sasha’s recent extended live set at the Invol2ver launch party and immerses himself in both his Djing and production styles. As if that was not sufficient, Streetrave and Clash have also clubbed together to offer two lucky winners a pair of tickets to the Arches do, copies of Invol2ver and as sponsors of The Hacienda Tour, Bench have kindly donated £100 worth of clothes from their Glasgow store on Buchanan Street for each of the winners to tog themselves out for their night out.

So what are you hanging around here for then? Go on then, move along. Links for the article and competition are below. The very best of luck.
