Pulled Apart by Horses on Diesel:U:Music radio

Tune in from 12pm tomorrow...

Wild horses couldn’t drag these Leeds noise makers away from the Diesel:U:Music studio tomorrow morning. And it seems like the boys are a dab hand at radio DJ-ing, having previously appeared on Leeds Student Radio, and having had quite a ball in the process.

Clashmusic caught up with guitarist James Brown to see just what we can expect from their show tomorrow......

“We're all getting the megabus down to London. It’s only a pound, but we're really hoping it doesn’t break down again,” says James. Oh those poor, underpaid, overworked rock stars........you’ve got to feel a little bit sorry for them (*very small violin pays*). No seriously, the Megabus experience is not something I would wish on anyone. And Pulled Apart by Horses are tired: they’ve been constantly touring now for seven months. But James reassures me that they’ve got plenty of energy left for their show tomorrow.

So what are they going to be playing? “Well we're going to be talking about London bands with Dan and Toby from rockfeedback, and we want to try and get Shield Your Eyes (amazing new post-hardcore band from Leeds, check them out HERE) on board. We’re hoping to get some audio from Tubelord, who we’re going to see at the Lexington the night before," he says (if the megabus doesn’t break down that is).

And what about his desert island discs? “First up would definitely be The Jesus Lizard – ‘Puss’. I’ve been spending all day trying to work out which Future of the Left track to play, as they are probably my favourite band....ever. But i’ve gone with ‘Manchasm’. And I'll definitely be playing a Nirvana song, probably ‘Negative Creep’. And ‘Paranoid Android’ is up there. Oh, and my guilty pleasure....Mansun’s ‘Wide Open Space. I f***ing love Mansun," exclaims James.

This Leeds lad will also be making his poetry debut: “I’m going to try and write a poem about the megabus journey on the way down, to read out on the show,” he gushes.

And with a steadfast promise that they will present the show in their underwear, we simply cannot wait.......
