London night launches...

London's clubbing landscape is in a state of flux.
Licensing laws are impinging upon several institutions, with newcomers few and far between. Which is why it's heartening to see the rise of Vauxhall night The Upfront Project.
Held at the re-launched Lightbox venue, The Upfront Project is chaired by a loose-knit collective of experienced clubbers and promoters. Using their own eclectic tastes as a guide, the team have lined up a series of mouth watering line ups.
This week, The Upfront Project are set to throw their most ambitious party yet. Throwing open the doors, Lightbox is set to welcome sets from Mumdance, Night Slugs signing Jam City, Helix, Funkystepz and more.
Diamond Bass will be on hand, while Lando Kal and Bwana are also set to perform. Standing out from the crowd, though, is British house don Ben Westbeech.
Now London based, the producer's forward thinking approach throws off any genres tags. Yet there's something soulful which runs through the best of his work which can only come from the legacy of house.
Recent cut 'You Won't Find Love Again' is a case in point. Released as part of his Breach side project, this is driving, propulsive dance music and already a feature in Ben Westbeech's sets.
Almost certain to be aired on Friday, you can listen to it now...
The Upfront Project returns on Friday (August 10th). Line up:
Ben Westbeech / Jam City / Lando Kal / Mumdance / Helix / Funkystepz / Bwana / Juk Juk / Diamond Bass & more...
