Nirvana - School
Live at Reading
It’s been 20 years, folks. 20 years since Nirvana first ventured into the grunge scene with their debut album 'Bleach' and left a memorable footprint to say the least. Clash acknowledges this occasion by making the December issue a 'Bleach' / Nirvana anniversary issue, with Kurt Cobain on the cover.
Nirvana’s debut 'Bleach' was an underground success, with sales eventually skyrocketing when people discovered the debut after the raging success of its follow-up, 1991’s 'Nevermind'. A year after 'Nevermind' appeared, arguably at the height of their talent, Nirvana made their mark on rock concert history with their Reading Festival headliner show.
Nirvana ripped through 23 of their own classics as well as performing three cover songs. This November we get to relive that night in a way that only the people that attended the Reading show were privileged enough to have experienced.
On November 16th a CD/DVD of the concert will be released in the highest quality you can get, it might not be as good as being there, but it’s as close as you’re ever going to get. Check out a snippet of the DVD below/above, in which the band rips through 'School', a classic from their 'Bleach' album.

A nice memorial - sad, but reminds of what true pioneers they were.
