Nick Harrison
“Yeah I’ve got a goal. I’m on a mission!"
“Yeah I’ve got a goal. I’m on a mission! I want to play Wembley Stadium, that’s my mission. I’ve GOT to play Wembley!”
Declared with unquivering confidence, one might say young song-throb Nick Harrison has his sights set notably high for a gent who is yet to release his debut full-lengther, just one of the musical mandates required of a young up-and coming star to have them even contemplating pirouetting into such a venue.

Though prying into the likeliness of Harrison’s mission, it’s revealed that this boyishly handsome soloist from the working class coastal town of Folkestone is a little more modest than first proclaimed.
“In any form really, I’d be happy to support whomever there, like, I don’t think I could headline Wembley; that might be a bit ambitious. I saw the Foo Fighters there and it was amazing, it’s just the amount of people and it’s the one environment and the one vibe. And Foo Fighters are just a sick band; it was easily one of my favourite gigs.”
A relative rookie to the music biz, part of Harrison’s appeal is his unmatched relatability; frequently speaking as a music fan, though unlike most twentysomethings, this guitar-wielding youngster has a killer record of his own hidden beneath his hoodie set for release in February. Produced by the legendary Paul Epworth, ‘One Drop’ is a glistening nugget of punk-influenced, doo-wop, ska pop, bursting with Police-like brass elation and equaling the clever social quip of the Arctic Monkeys. It’s punchy, fun and remarkably accomplished. though having had the release date pushed back several times by his label, Harrison’s eagerness to share his tunes with the awaiting world is seen to have reached breaking point.
"I just want people to hear it and I guess that all that matters to me now.”
“Literally before you rang I was on the phone to management going, “So when is the album coming out?” I think it’s the end of February now. I just want people to hear it, you know? I’m so proud of it and I was getting a bit bummed out about when it wasn’t coming out and I was getting a bit scared and worried about that. When people say to you, ‘Oh right, we are going to push it back’, initially you are like ‘Oh shit! What have I done wrong?’
But now I just want people to hear it and I guess that all that matters to me now.” But alas, until that time, the stunning single ‘Something Special’ - with accompanying video directed by Caswell Coggins - and a scattering of live dates will be the focus for this relentlessly chipper and undoubtedly skilled songwriter, “All I can do is do what I do. You know, I play and that’s my job so all I do now is try to play kick-ass shows and just do the best I can at what I can do. The ball’s in their court, and it kind of has to be if you are a new artist, you know what I mean?”
