Art rock band La Shark have released an extremely odd video for new single ‘Mr Modern Man’.
A diverse product of New Cross via Cairo, Paris and Kendal, La Shark originally formed at Goldsmiths and consists of Samuel Geronimo Deschamps on vox, Benjamin Francis Markham on lead guitar, Love Maynard on bass, Sami El Enany on keys and N.H.A Buxton on drums.
The South London quintet have been creating quite a bit of buzz lately, especially with Felix White from The maccabees, who stated: “I hope one day the world can appreciate how amazing bands like La Shark are. We need bands like them.”
Their new single 'Mr Modern Man' will be released on August 6th. The characteristically wry video - which the band have just completed - features members moisturising, sewing and erotically sculpting whilst looking deadpan into the camera, which is emphasised by the unique yet unusual vocal style and guitar parts of the song.
The band will play the introducing stage at T in the Park and will headline a London show at Birthdays July 5th. They will announce a full UK headline tour soon.
