Hear Clash's exclusive pre-release stream of Myheadisaballoon's 'Pop Goes The People!' album.
Otherwise known as Chris Weeks to his mum and Kingbastard to Clash readers, Myheadisaballoon is the latest project from the ever creative Weeks (having supplied two dj mixes for us and counting).
Billed as his 'pop friendly' alter ego, 'Pop Goes The People!' follows the Kingbastard 'Lost Property' album where Weeks' voice surfaced to great effect on 'Take Me Home'. Treated voices and guitars have always been present amidst the atmospheric, electronic vistas and now with Myheadisaballoon they take (an admittedly soft focus) centre stage.
As if all that creativity wasn't enough to fill the minutes and hours he also finds time to create the evocative artwork for each release (each track in the case of the last Kingbastard album).
'Pop Goes The People!' is released on Wednesday 1st August on Herb Recordings. Listen to the album in full below.
