Headline Details

- Over the past four years this duo have become one of the most successful acts in the contemporary dance scene. SMD have a string of successful, genre-defining singles behind them, two critically lauded LPs, a BBC Essential Mix and a Fabric compilation. A shockingly impressive CV shows demonstrates their creative reach - Klaxon's, The Go-Team, Peaches, Gossip's Beth Ditto, Hot Chip - as well as creating an exclusive track for Nike and touring with the Chemical Brothers. This will also be the first time SMD have played live in Scotland in some years, and will be their ONLY Scottish show of summer 2010.

LIQUID LIQUID - Legendary is a word that seldom deserves its usage in musical biography these days, but in the case of Liquid Liqud the qualification is completely accurate. Formed in the post-punk underground of NY in 1980, Liquid Liquid have had an extraordinary influence on contemporary dance music for more than 20 years. From the beginnings of hip-hop, to the nascent dance scenes in Detroit and Chicago in the mid 80's right up to the present day, the influence of Liquid Liquid's sparse, funk and reggae influence grooves can still be heard in clubs and dance productions all over the globe. Liquid Liquid played one of their first ever reformed shows with Optimo in 2003, and are now back in Scotland for one of only two shows in the UK this year!

FELIX DA HOUSECAT - Little introduction is needed for Felix to anyone who has been paying attention to dance music in the last decade. From his early collaborations with DJ Pierre when he was only 15 years old, Felix Da Housecat has made a name for himself as one of the most idiosyncratic artists in dance music. Responsible for possibly THE defining album of the electroclash movement (2001's Kittenz & The Glitz) Felix has released a number of eccentric, quasi concept albums built around a love of electronic pop music and his obsessions with fame and glamour. He has headlined DJ events all over the globe, had his work used in movie soundtracks and numerous successful video games, worked with James Murphy (LCD Sound System), Miss Kitten & P' Diddy and has remixed a host of major artists including Madonna and Britney Spears.

LUKE SLATER - Nothing short of a genuine National Treasure of the British electronic music scene, Luke Slater has been a prolific and highly respected artist for close to 20 years. His breakthrough track "Momentary Visions" was a seminal moment in the re-invention of UK techno in the late 1980's. Slater went on to record under a variety of pseudonyms, with a dizzying breath of content spanning techno, experimental, acid, minimal and ambient/textural material, with numerous releases on Peacefrog, D-Jax Up-beats, Mute and latterly on his own label Mote-Evolver. Slater is presenting a live performance of his percussive and techno influenced Planetary Assault Systems material for Electric Frog.

TRUS'ME - Mancunian Trus'Me first came to prominence with a series of black label mixes which drew serious attention from Jazzanova, Carl Craig and Giles Peterson (who championed the releases on Radio 1). His first major release "Working Nights" on Fat City Recordings in 2007 set the scene for a warm and bass-heavy style that fused house, disco and boogie influences, drawing comparisons to Moodyman and respectful dj plaudits from Ashely Beedle, Mad Matts & Juan Atkins. Since then Trus"me has become a highly in demand DJ touring extensively in the US, Europe and Australia. Trus'me set up his own label Prime Numbers in 2008, which brought release from Move D, Actress, Linkwood and Reggie Dokes. A hotly anticipated new album "In The Red" is promised for the autumn and contains a slew of stellar collaborators - Chicago legend Chez Damier (one of THE most respected house music producers in the world) Detroit innovator Amp Fiddler and nu-boogie's rising star Dam-Funk.
