Another preview for The 1234 Festival...

Mixtapes aren't always fixated on electronic music, y'know.

A wide ranging, expansive format the mixtape can used to carry any type of music you desire. With this in mind, we can present a mix from The Duke Spirit guitarist Toby Butler which is as far away from dance culture as it's possible to get.

Opening with a cut from feral LA punks The Bronx, the tape then moves through tracks from The Computers, Tom Petty, The Gun Club and more. Ending with a nod towards the King himself, this is a fun, guitar-heavy party mix from a band whose awareness of guitar music extends far beyond the latest trend.

Handing the mix over to ClashMusic, The Duke Spirit are now gearing up for an appearance at the 1234 Festival. Held in Shoreditch, this annual celebration of new music takes place on September 1st - tickets are on sale now.
