Jack Kubizne animated short
Released at the dawn of 2012, Cloud Nothings' sophomore set 'Attack On Memory' was the sort of short, sharp, thrill that can only come from guitar music.
Recorded by Steve Albini, the typically dry tones seemed to ease every ounce of passion from the songwriting out into the open. Things were laid bare, hearts were unsheathed and throats were screamed hollow.
Still a fantastic listen, Cloud Nothings recently handed 'Stay Useless' to film maker Jack Kubizne. The animator has returned a clip which uses crudely drawn images to veer from a boring school ride into the most remote realms of fantasy.
It's blunt, surreal and oddly tugs at your heart strings. Watch the video for 'Stay Useless' below.
