Chemical Brothers Video
New single "Midnight Madness"
The Chemical Brothers have remained at the pinnacle of the dance world for over a decade, due to tracks like "Midnight Madness" released on August 4th.
The dynamic duo of anthemic electronica recently released their "Brotherhood" album, a collection of their greatest hits. An astonishing career has given The Chemical Brothers more chart entries than they care to remember, but its easily overlooked that there is another side to the band.
All through their career the group have released 'Electronic Battle Weapons' - limited edition dance releases meant for DJs and collectors. The series was the launching point for many classic Chemical Brothers tunes, most notably "It Began in Africa", and this is where "Midnight Madness" began.
A vocoder driven track, it recalls those other giants of 90s dance Daft Punk while retaining its identity as a Chemical Brothers record. The video for the song was inspired by a simple concept to unite the planet around the wonders of the beat. A competition was held where entries were invited from across the world of people dancing to the track. These were then linked to their location on Google Earth, with the world uniting for a piece of "Midnight Madness".
The Chemical Brothers released "Midnight Madness" as a download on August 4th. Watch the innovative video below:
