American brand opens their 36th European store.
Urban Outfitters

Back in the day when we used to head downstairs in Etam and gauge ourselves on Tammy Girl's latest delights-think kids size 13 platforms and baggy jeans with chains-London's Marble Arch was the hottest pace to be. Then we grew up, Tammy moved to BHS and we migrated further down the road to Oxford Circus. Well now Urban Outfitters are taking the power back, with their shiny new store at 491-497 Oxford Street.

With a glazed plant room, a walk-in glass shoe environment and glass encased cash-desks, there's something of a theme running through the shop, and the first time any branch has incorporated a clear glass fronted workshop. Here, display artists will be on show to highlight the handmade vibe that the store is built on.

The shop officially opens its doors tomorrow, however tonight a launch party sees Tim Sweeney on the decks, a Sharpie drawing wall and a photobooth, plus Ruben and Bobby "a tiny hairdresser-cum-retro-toy-shop" on hand with a pop up salon and lastly, an open bar. We'll be with drink in hand trying on some adult size 4 heels.

See you from 5pm.
