River Island Design Forum x Tourne de Transmission

Graeme Gaughan's label is the latest tapped for a collaboration.

Speaking to Clash back in May, founder and creative director of menswear label Tourne de Transmission, Graeme Gaughan described the brand’s London Collections: Men presence as “about taking the brand’s core ethos and putting a much bigger statement out there.”

Fast forward several months and TNT’s latest project reads in a similar, if not exactly mirrored, vein: it’s just been tapped by River Island for the retailer’s River Island Design Forum line, which will undoubtedly create waves in new sartorial circles, a solid statement for a label that began life with T-shirts in 2012.

Following the likes of YMC and Christopher Shannon, each who’ve earned their mainstream credentials with previous RIDF collabs, TNT’s new offering marries traditional Japanese design techniques with contemporary Tokyo street style and is comprised of 14 pieces.

Dropping in-store and online next month, the line-up will make its debut with a short film, set to premiere at London Collections: Men.
