Pro Keds x Footpatrol

A unique collab incoming.

When you think of Keds it’s likely memory serves up an all American brand with over 3 million Facebook fans; a vision of a pre-squad goals era Taylor Swift; a fashion blogger (at least if yours is one of the 322,000 accounts following the brand on Instagram).

What you’re unlikely to pitch it as, is a label boasting strong Soho ties: but you’d be mistaken.

Dropping in-store today, the latest Pro Keds release (the Pro bit arriving in 1949, an athletic branch of the 100 year old label’s casual footwear game) sees the brand shaking hands with London’s self penned ‘best-known destination sneaker store’, Berwick Street’s Footpatrol.

Merging the classic royal hi silhouette with a patchwork design inspired by the area’s high volume of fabric shops (the accompanying imagery, above, likewise referencing the same influence), the shoe rejects the traditional block colour aesthetic, making it a properly authentic one-off.
