Pink Beach: adidas Originals By Pharrell

Williams' lastest Originals offering is a SS16 treat.

Perhaps the most stunning campaign to come out of adidas Originals’ numerous celebrity partnerships – something to do with the involvement of Dutch photographer, Viviane Sassen – the brand’s latest photoset serves as a visual treat for Pharrell Williams’ new collaborative offering.

Dropping in-store and online on the 12th May, round two of the SS16 ‘Pink Beach’ collection was apparently inspired by ‘soulful, luminous vibes from sunny island spirit’, reflected here both in the backdrop and the graceful movements of the models.

The new line-up itself is a print-cum-doodle heavy affair, mixing florals, cacti and peace signs; elsewhere a frequency central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation” – 528HZ – features as a pattern. The ‘LOVE frequency’ resonates at the heart of everything, we’re told, connecting heart and spiritual essence to the spiralling reality of heaven and earth.

Boasting a mix of bikinis, baggy vests, shirts, tees and skirts, the exhaustive collection features a similarly complete array of textures, from chiffon and laminated mesh through to cotton and polyester; the respective palette trawls the rainbow, marrying bright shades with pastel colours, as well as black, white and grey.
