P.A.M X Carhartt WIP

The ‘Radio Club’ Collection

Guaranteed to stir up some serious bank balance bashing amongst avid streetwear consumers, American workwear favourites Carhartt, have once more teamed up with cult Melbourne based label Perks and Mini via their Work in Progress line.

For their fourth collaboration, the two brands seem to have reflected on their international meeting of minds, basing the ‘Radio Club’ titled range on the global communication craze of CB radio.

Much like Instagram, CB radio, which first emerged in the 1920s, reaching something of a pinnacle during the 70s and 80s, operated through the use of adopted monikers. As the craze grew, a culture of circulating name cards that featured slogans and amateur cartoons also developed. An aesthetic that’s clearly informed the punchy, lo-fi graphics that appear on this hardwearing new range of t-shirts, sweaters and accessories, which are modelled by a contemporary selection of Djs in the collections dedicated look book.

The P.A.M x Carhartt WIP range is available online and in select stores from March 31st.
