Otho AW16

Peep the latest look book from the London label.

If the press notes that arrived in our inbox late last week are to be believed, self-sufficiency and durability are the key markers of Otho’s AW16 collection.

Founded by Valerie Hui in 2014 – for which, as she explained to Clash last year (here), primary inspiration comes from past and present youth cultures – Otho is perhaps one of the finer denim heavy labels created for women in the contemporary market.

The latest line up, pictured above, goes in hard on the workwear aesthetic established by the label, with XL silhouettes and utility references each sartorially vocal.

Indulging in a strong palette of navy and olive green alongside neutral shades of white and cream, overalls here make an appearance alongside dungarees, box jackets and rolled up jeans, further informing the Muji-does-mail-(wo)man-uniform vibes.
