Missy Elliott For Marc Jacobs

And Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love and Annie Clark too.

Squad goals are all good and well caught on camera, but as the likes of Snapchat, Instagram Stories, and Facebook Live have proven, why catch a static moment when you can watch it play out?

Enter the latest offering from Marc Jacobs, a new nightclub alike short produced to accompany the AW16 campaign, directed by Hype Williams and boasting cameos from the designer’s latest all-star cast, every one of the them dressed up to the nines in the collection’s sequins, hoods and XL platforms.

“From the moment I heard The Rain, back in 1997, I was entranced by the genius rhythms and brilliant rhymes of Missy Elliott,” wrote Jacobs when the initial campaign dropped in June. Alongside ‘MISSY, Supa Dupa Fly’, Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love and the New York Dolls’ David Johansen all feature, likewise the Japanese musician Keiji Haino, Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent) and Susan Sarandon.

Perhaps the best visual of the whole three minutes though, is Jacobs himself, black lipstick, aviator glasses and his cropped hair gelled down to mirror Cara Delevingne’s (also present in the shoot).
