Kenzo x H&M: First Look

Oliver Hadlee Pearch shoots the debut looks from the collab.

“We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M,” announced the latter’s creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson back in May; fast forward to today and the pair are doing just that, with the unveiling of the collaboration’s first three looks.

Lensed by one time Clash collaborator Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the duo have cast an exciting line-up for the debut images, with make-up artist and Instagram favourite Isamaya Ffrench tapped alongside student and activist Amy Sall, New York based artist, poet and DJ Juliana Huxtable and the musician and performance artist, Oko Ebomo.

Ahead of the full collection’s arrival on 3rd November, the initial pieces echo the bright coloured animal prints Kenzo’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon produced for the label’s AW16 mainline collection; the pastel shade of Ffrench’s faux fur jacket, above, likewise a reference to the label’s most recent womensear collection.

Anyone who remembers blowing their student loan on Versace x H&M five years ago will similarly recognise the Swedish retailer as giving good animal print. You have been warned.
