Produced on the reg to accompany the brand’s numerous campaigns – Spike Jonze referenced his own Fatboy Slim collaboration in a recent perfume offering – elsewhere directors have included Gregg Akari and Sean Baker.

For AW16, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have tapped Carrie Brownstein, with the Sleater-Kinney singer and guitarist premiering ‘The Realest Real’ in full this week.

            


A stylish exploration of social media and contemporary fandom, the short uses common Insta comments (think ‘Mom’, ‘I’m dead’ and ‘Marry me’) as a vehicle for a narrative focused on the idea of ‘what if, actually…’

While her cameo is short – Laura Harrier, Natasha Lyonne and Rowan Blanchard are given key screen time – the vision of Kim Gordon getting wed in a Victoriana esc white top and black PVC dress (look 9, if you will) is not to be overlooked.
