K-Swiss: 50 Love

The brand celebrates a half century by serving up the archive.

Founded in LA in 1966, Cali label K-Swiss hits the big 5-0 this year, and in the tradition of the better footwear labels (sports division), it’s celebrating not with a cake but a revival.

Tapping the archives for the new ’50 Love’ campaign – a play on its tennis origins; Swiss founders, brothers Art and Ernie Brunner absorbed the sport after emigrating to the States – this week sees the arrival of seven new styles, each with a nod to the K-Swiss vault.

Going by the names Si-18 International OF, Surf ‘n turf OG, Lozan III, The Classic VN, Irvine OG, Hoke and the Classic 66 K-Swiss – the latter both the debut court style and the only model produced during the brand’s first two decades – the collection is limited edition, with the 66 K-Swiss limited to an apt 1,966 pairs.
