Fred Perry has long upheld a keen association with musical subcultures, from ska to Britpop; its hero piece – the piqué polo shirt – and iconic Laurel Wreath logo have adorned the backs of everyone from the late Amy Winehouse to Damon Albarn, while collaborations with designers such as Bella Freud have absorbed said scenes for inspiration.

Celebrating the latest output in its George Cox partnership, this week the brand debuts a new campaign sans polo shirts, tapping London based DJ, producer and NTS Radio host, Throwing Shade to play model alongside Type Design artist Jack Kimberley (a.k.a Manchester's 19and Nasty).

Described as a modern take on iconic styles – furthermore ‘a collaboration that looks to the future’ – the footwear line-up is comprised of three versions of a creeper-cum-tennis shoe: the former part of the George Cox family, the latter one of Fred Perry's archive designs. While those cast above don the black leather variety, elsewhere two suede options feature in blue and sand; all are produced for both men and women.
