G. Kero SS16

Poppy Okotcha features in the label's latest campaign.

Following an education at the renowned Belgium art school La Cambre, in 2011 Marguerite Bartherotte and her brother set up G.Kero as a way for her to explore a creative process far removed from the traditional oil on canvas.

“I started by drawing handsome boyfriends that I didn’t have,” notes the artist-cum-designer on the G.Kero webpage, “and then I drew pretty girls on their T-shirts.” Fast forward five years and the label has fans in the likes of Moss and Delevingne as well as Marion Cotillard and Sharmadean Reid.

Lensed by French photographer Alice Moitié, the new SS16 campaign, pictured above, boasts a strong model line-up with a notable appearance from Select’s Poppy Okotcha, while the respective backgrounds reflect proper good times™ and will have you searching Skyscanner before your bosses back is even turned.

A subtle if brightly coloured affair – simple silhouettes, neutral base shades – the pieces themselves boast beach scenes, sex scenes, jungle scenes, and Ziggy Stardust era David Bowie.
