Following a series of celebratory projects-such as the re-issue of 1952 garments and the all black 60 Years Collection-Fred Perry continue the trend with a new collaborative project that sees 60 of their favourite friends getting out the needle and thread.
To mark the brand's 60th anniversary designers and musicians are amongst those that have been asked to customise the iconic Fred Perry shirt. Each of those taking part received a plain white shirt and was asked to make their mark with a birthday message, be it inked on (see Bradley Wiggins signature) or making the shirt look unrecognisable (like Indonesian DJ Anton Wirjono managed). The first 20 pieces will be exhibited exclusively at Dover Street Market from January 26th, in a set up designed by Andy Hillman, before moving to DSM Ginza and I.T. Beijing Market following a presentation.
All 60 will be auctioned later in the year with the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Above are our four faves.
