Fashion Round Up: 20/12

Clash plays catch up with the week’s most fashionable headlines (or something to that effect).

On Tuesday Rihanna’s debut campaign for Balmain surfaced across the web, made up for five images shot by duo Inez & Vinoodh and styled by Mel Ottenberg.

Creative direction for the SS14 campaign came from Parisian based Atelier Franck Durand, responsible for several previous Balmain campaigns.

Oliver Rousteing, the label’s Creative Director, has since called the singer as an “icon”.

Elsewhere Burberry also released it’s SS14 campaign this week, starring actor Jamie Campbell Bower and Childhood lead singer Leo Dobson.

Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey said of the new campaign, “There’s a distinctly English mood to this season – a gentle, effortless, romantic quality, brought to life by a cast of bright young British talent.”

Shot by Mario Testino, Campbell Bower and Dobson are joined by models Malaika Firth, Jean Campbell, Callum Ball, Matilda Lowther and Neelam Johal in the imagery.
