Floristry and fashion are as closely entwined as fish plus chips, honey and bees, as one Rachael Barker made the case earlier this year (here).
It’s unlikely surprising then, that Italian fashion house Gucci was this week named as an exhibitor at the upcoming RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the label’s first time doing so.
Titled ‘Flora’ and designed by Sarah Eberle, the green space will celebrate the Flora fabric scarf by Vittorio Accornero, representing the four seasons via flower boxes together with a raised ‘catwalk’.
Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini reportedly confirmed: "Flora was the very first iconic design motif from Gucci's storied past that I decided to revive and reinterpret.”

Also at the start of the week, Topman and Fashion East announced the SS15 MAN line-up for London Collections: Men, taking place this June.
Joining Bobby Abley in his third season, are Nicomede Talavera and Liam Hodges, both who previously showed as part of Fashion East’s Menswear Installations.
Royal College of Art graduate Liam has seen his predominantly monochrome collections worn by the likes of Drake in recent months (see here), while Talavera had already collaborated with Eastpak multiple times ahead of his London Fashion Week debut last year.

Lastly, Harrods has launched a month long celebration of all things Prada at its Knightsbridge HQ.
Featuring 40 windows, a pop-up store, several screens and a café, ‘Pradasphere’ samples various elements of the Miuccia Prada headed house, namely fashion, art, architecture and cinema.
A collaboration between Prada and 2×4 New York, the exhibition (opened to the public today), has already prompted a collective wave of enthusiasm amongst the industry.
Though one journalist provided food for thought via Twitter, suggesting, “Which museum would take on that brand's retrospective, when shops have such budgets and teams?”
