Kenzo and Vetements amongst those tapped for the project's latest round.

At it since 2010, this year Eastpak’s Artist Studio series boasts perhaps its strongest – if not most industry relevant – line-up yet, with the likes of Kenzo, Vetements and Jacquemus all offering up their services for the cause.

Initially launched as a vehicle to raise awareness of World Aids Day and funds for Designers Against Aids (the former falls on 1st December, the latter is an organisation using pop culture to spread knowledge), the project has since seen the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christopher Shannon use their position to shout about the facts.

Handed a blank canvas in the form of a classic Eastpak Padded Pak’r rucksack, designers are invited to dress up, dress down, reinvent and reshape the bag as they see fit, with the finished product up for auction from World Aids Day.

For his label’s turn, Demna Gvasalia followed Vetements tradition and reimagined the Aids Day red ribbon as Xl straps, while Simon Porte Jacquemus has similarly remained on brand, transforming the conservative bag shape into something more abstract; elsewhere House of Holland went for turquoise faux fur, Kenzo went all out for extras, and Christopher Raeburn and Nicopanda created a pair of beast like things (in white and multicolour, respectively).
