Astrid Andersen Presents: Wild Style & GR8

An exclusive capsule collection.

“I love what I do,” Astrid Andersen told Clash last summer. “For me, it’s the perfect combination of having creative freedom but within a product as relatable as clothes. I never wanted to be an artist but always felt creatively driven.”

The latest creative output from the Danish designer is a capsule collection, produced exclusively for two stores that have stocked her label since the production of her graduate collection: Wild Style in LA and Tokyo’s GR8.

Launching in-store and online tomorrow – 3rd May – the condensed collection sees Andersen’s sports inspired aesthetic enter a more readily accessible arena, with a simple colour palette of just red, black and white.

While style and shape remain oh so very Astrid (read: oversized, baggy, branded), the more feminine offering of lace, silk and cropped tees that have come to be intrinsically linked to her name, are nowhere to be seen.

It’s AA lite if you will, but with the uniform potential of the label’s main line. And via the wonderful world wide web, in reach of the UK too.
