Jean Touitou is the king of the collab. A.P.C., the brand that he founded in 1987, has, in recent years, dipped its minimalist toes into sportswear, designed alongside one of the world’s most notorious rap stars and gone a bit sparkly with Vanessa Seward.
Their latest partnering is with another brand for whom collaborating is an obvious choice, see Eastpak’s collections with both new and established designers.
For their own teamwork, the two brands have produced three styles, for the most part playing classic Eastpak shapes with A.P.C.’s simple design aesthetic, plus a surprise finale, if you will.
The styles in question are the authentic rucksack, the big rucksack and a golf bag, the latter sport being held in the highest regards at A.P.C. HQ (though not previously big news for Eastpak).
Colours are kept simple (black/grey/brown and camo), while logos are flipped; the outer displaying A.P.C. in place of the usual ‘USA’ under Eastpak, and the two reversed inside each bag.
