Owned by the same company as Wonderbra, Champion was similarly having a moment in the 90s.
One look at that red and blue logo is enough to spark up memories – real or otherwise – of an embroidered logo sweatshirt paired with some stonewash denims and, quite possibly, a perm.
And like several of its sporting counterparts, it’s back for another round.
Spotted on the likes of Rick Ross and Jay Z way back when, the 94-year-old label has collaborated with Stussy and Supreme alike for AW13, (think illustrated jerseys for the former and paisley lined hoods the latter).
While the logo sits on American sports kits – step forward LA Lakers and Miami Heat – the European headquarters are to be found in Italy. Hence new pieces like the dreamy pink tee and practical jade jumper are kept subtle.
Even the brand fronted T-shirt is decidedly not braggy in appearance, an aesthetic feature that makes the label as a whole stand out amongst its peers.
