Swedish jazz trio led by mercurial pianist Esbjorn Svensson. The group did more than any other to bring European jazz performance into the modern era, utilizing a lightshow and incorporating rhythms from rock, hip hop and electronica while remaining hinged to Svensson's melodic sense. Sadly, Svensson died in 2008 due to a scuba diving accident - he was only 44.
