Aux 88
Electronic space funk from a planet called Detroit
Taking their name from the abbreviated term for alternative audio feed and the year in which they formed, Aux 88 saw Tommy Hamilton, Keith Tucker, and Anthony Horton uniting “through a love and frustration with electro” which very much reflected the musical landscape of Eighties’ Detroit.
A couple of personnel changes later and the Aux 88 line up was minted around the duel processor of Hamilton and Tucker, whose self proclaimed aim was to create “electronic space funk from a planet called Detroit” by smelting multiple genres down into a crucible of techno-founded clarity.
