Japanese via New York shoegazing revivalists

Taking their name from the colloquial Japaenese for "playful sex", this NY-Via-Japan trio specialise in cranium melting, Shoegaze-tinged seduction pop. Singing in both her native tongue and a sultry NY whisper, singer Yuki and her band released two albums within months of one another thanks to silly American record labels, which meant we got twice as much to get excited about in 2007. Yes, their phychedelic cover art and fashionista salvating image were good, but the true payoff came with their albums 'Citrus' and 'Asobi Seksu'. We get the feeling we'll be hearing a bit more about them in the future, too.
