You Say Party! Album Plans

Canadian dance punks return

Canadian dance punks You Say Party! We Say Die! have confirmed plans to release a new album.

As the decade draws to a close it is astonishing to witness the turn around in the fortunes of Canadian music. Just ten years ago Celine Dion was scorching the ear drums of Britain with her ‘Titanic’ soundtracking ballad ‘My Heart Will Go On’.

Now the nation is better known for churning out thought provoking indie rock acts such as Arcade Fire. Together with labels such as Arts & Crafts, a new generation of groups have changed the perception of Canadian music.

Set to return later this year, You Say Party! We Say Die! are outcasts even in their own country. The band’s dance punk style was born from a need to party, with early shows often taking place at impromptu bashes.

Debut album ‘Hit The Floor!’ was an unrelenting blast of energy, establishing the group as a cult sensation. Since then You Say Party! We Say Die! have released two more albums, perfecting their face-melting mixture of rock and electronics.

Taking time off last year, You Say Party! We Say Die! took a step backwards to assess their legacy. Writing some blistering new songs recent shows have seen the band unleash their new material on suspecting audiences.

Delayed some time, forthcoming album ‘XXXX’ is the group’s first effort in two years. Containing tracks such as ‘Make Xxxx’ You Say Party! We Say Die! seem to be in the mood for some filthy rock thrills.

You Say Party! We Say Die! are due to release their new album ‘XXXX’ on February 8th. Tracklisting is as follows:

‘There Is Xxxx (Within My Heart)’
‘Glory’
‘Dark Days’
‘Cosmic Wanship Avengers’
‘Lonely’s Lunch’
‘Make Xxxx’
‘Laura Palmer’s Prom’
‘She’s Spoken For’
‘Xxxx/Loyalty’
‘Heart Of Gold’
