Tiga

Canadian electro producer

Montreal-based electronic producer and DJ Tiga started off promoting of raves in his native city during the early 1990s, and was also involved in the creation of SONA, the renowned after-hours club. In 1994, he opened a record store, DNA Records, and in 1998 founded his own label, Turbo Recordings. As well as producing his own material, and working with names such as Richard X and Zyntherius, Tiga is also regarded for his remixing of other artists’ work, including Felix da Housecat, Cabaret Voltaire and Thomas Andersson, and also compiled a DJ-Kicks album in 2002. He frequently collaborates with Mateo Murphy (forming the duo TGV), and is also good friends with Stephen and David Dewaele from Soulwax, who produced tracks on Sexor, Tiga’s debut album. Recently, he has continued to produce music in collaboration with Zombie Nation under the pseudonym ZZT, and also released second album Ciao! in late April of this year to widespread critical acclaim.
