American guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. After an early career on the coffeehouse circuit Stills joined the legendary Buffalo Springfield, and wrote their signature tune "For What Its Worth". Stills then joins CSN&Y, providing much of the melody (and tension) that characterised their career. Still a successful solo artist, Stephen Stills has recently undergone treatment for prostate cancer. Members
