American band, not quite "Out Of Time"

Athens, Georgia based band whose success has spanned generations. Growing out of the post-punk American underground, R.E.M. found immediate cult success with 'Murmur'. A move to Warner Music pushed them onto the international stage, with best selling albums such as "Out Of Time". After losing original drummer Bill Berry the band have regrouped, looking back to their roots for rejuvenation.
