Nathan Fake

Exploratory Techno

Nathan Fake is a musician from Norfolk, who left his hometown aged 18 and now has a bedroom studio in Hackney. Dividing his time between writing new music, touring and remixing (previous recipients of the Nathan Fake computer-edit funk treatment include DFA’s Shocking Pinks, Tiefschwarz, Annie, Avus, Vincent Oliver, Steve Lawler and DJ Remy), his style ranges from next-wave computer rock techno to vertiginous ambient pilgrimages and sometimes both of these at the same time. Nathan has also recently begun pursuing DJing, as well as music writing and production. His debut album “Drowning in a Sea of Love” was released in 2006, and new album “Hard Islands”, which sees him taking a more exploratory techno direction, is released on 15 May 2009.
