Having been brought up on his father's vast tape and record collection, Jack Sparrow's passion for music began at an early age. Whilst building his own music collection, Sparrow started producing music when he was just 17-years-old, piecing together studio equipment in his bedroom. Jack Sparrow's debut release came in 2007 on Senseless Records, a Leeds-based label, which featured up-and-coming grime and dubstep artists. Since then, while building up a reputation as a talented DJ, Sparrow has made appearances on MRK1's Contagious and Pinch's Tectonic and Earwax labels. These achievements have led Sparrow to become a resident at Exodus and Subdub events in Leeds as well as featuring at the seminal DMZ event in London after impressing Mala with his unique style. Now putting the finishing touches to his debut album, which is set for release on Tectonic in 2010, expect to hear a lot more of this talent in the near future.
