Headman

Punk-funk/rave-disco pioneer

Headman
Robi Insinna, a.k.a. Headman, is the founder of Relish Records. Founded in 2001, the first release on Relish was from Manhead (a.k.a. Robi, once again), whose sound predated the current cosmic disco revival by years and maintained this high standard while expanding with new artists to show Robi’s diverse taste. Always ahead of his time, Robi is at the origin of the punk-funk/rave-disco movement. His debut album, ‘It Rough’ was released on Gomma Records and his second album, ‘On’, featured guest appearance from some well-known musical friends, including Stephen Dewaele of Soulwax and Matt Safer of The Rapture. After releasing a third album, ‘Catch Me’ – again on German disco label Gomma – Headman is once again releasing his own material on the label he started all those years ago, Relish, whose current roster includes the likes of David Gilmour Girls, The C90s and Revolver.
