Grandmaster Flash

Founding father of Hip Hop

An early giant of the New York Hip Hop scene, Flash pioneered the two turntable set up of deejaying and was one of the first to use two copies of a record to prolong the 'break', creating the early template for Hip Hop. He went on, with The Furious Five, to create some of the genre's early classics and was the first Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
