Gang Gang Dance are based in Brooklyn, New York, and create the kind of freak-out future dance-punk that takes cues from Liars and Oneida before twisting the comparatively conventional into new shapes. This distinctive sound has been referred to as "neo-primitivist" or "neo-tribal".
