Daisy Dares You

Teen pop angst

The product of a musical household and a fortunate early hook-up with a family friend - a producer with his own home studio - Daisy has been working at this since she turned a teenager. Describing her sound as “band-driven pop” and naming infuences you’d expect of someone much more advanced in years - Nick Cave, Nirvana, Hole, Patti Smith and The Rolling Stones, amongst current hip bands like Delphic and Girls. Musically, she bears something of a resemblance to Avril Lavigne or ’90s pop duo Shampoo except without the fashion faux pas and with lashings more self-assured potential. Her already released single, ‘Number One Enemy’, with heartthrob rap star Chipmunk, is a frothy slice of teen pop angst styled out in Lolita-esque way.
