Caper

Multi aliased dubstepper

Caper by Toby Binstead
Caper broke onto the dubstep scene in 2008 with his debut release 'Hybrid/Friction' on Studio Rockers, drawing from elements of dub, garage and breaks to create an instant dancefloor hit. The release showed huge crossover appeal with DJs from a huge variety of genres supporting the record, culminating in an appearance on Switch & Sinden's FabricLive CD as well as many plays on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss 100 as well as others. During the last decade, Caper has released records under a number of aliases and in a variety of genres, spanning garage, hip hop, breaks, downtempo, funk and many more. He has produced successful remixes for Universal and Ministry of Sound, and has also worked on many collaborations with some of today's best MCs and vocalists, including Sweetie Irie, Abdominal and Brother Culture. Caper is also one half of production duo 'Jellybass', who fuse elements of dubstep and hip hop together to produce innovative bass music, mixed with some great live performances.
