Airborne Toxic Event Hit Charts

New album makes surprise appearance

Californian rockers Airborne Toxic Event have stunned onlookers with their debut album sneaking into the Top 20.

Despite critical acclaim, Airborne Toxic Event remain technically unsigned in this country. Word of mouth hype around the band is huge, but the American group have been forced to issue the album through their US imprint.

Entering at number 16, this is a great validation for the group who are set to tour Britain soon. Airborne Toxic Event announced a number of live dates recently, with their London show selling out in only 20 minutes.

Los Angeles newcomers Airborne Toxic Event played a hugely successful UK tour in 2008 that saw them play a residency at London’s Dublin Castle venue as well as playing thirty shows in thirty nights in November.

Having recently bagged themselves the iTunes alternative track of the year gong with ‘Sometime Around Midnight’, the five piece could be the latest independent success story.

Airborne Toxic Event currently sit at number 16 in the UK album charts.
