Daphni has unveiled fluid new cut ‘Pairs’ taken from his new solo album ‘JIAOLONG’.
As if fuelling Caribou wasn’t enough, Dan Snaith’s solo material is gaining increasing levels of attention. Working under the Daphni moniker, new album ‘JIAOLONG’ is fuelled by a continuing love affair with club culture.
Out on October 8th, Daphni pointed fans towards new cut ‘Pairs’ late yesterday. A percussive, high energy house cut that borders on disco – dig the cowbell! - the producer allows the music to shift and evolve in a deeply organic fashion.
Backed with video from Jane Eastlight, you can stream the track below.

Fancy some more information? Dan Snaith recently offered the following quote: “I’ve been surprised by the number of transcendent moments I, sober and in my mid-30s, have had in clubs in the last few years,” Dan says. “There’s some magic in it still. The clichés about the collective consciousness of clubs seems to still hold water in some special cases. There is a small world where dance music lives up to its potential to liberate, surprise and innovate. It’s there that I hope Daphni has a place.”
