Influential Scandinavian showcase Ja Ja Ja is set to return to London this week (September 27th) with a special show at the Lexington.
The past decade has seen the Trans-Atlantic partnership ruling pop music disintegrate. Fantastic music has slowed forth from Canada as well as continental Europe, but it's perhaps Scandinavia which has captured most critical attention.
London night Ja Ja Ja has acted as a showcase for new talent since its inception, helping to provide an outlet for talented Scandinavian acts who might be struggling to find a foothold outside of their home nation. Re-launching at the Lexington, the night opens tomorrow (September 27th) with sets from Sandra Kolstad, Phantom and The White Album.
Three extremely distinct acts, it finds Ja Ja Ja setting out their stall from the off: deeply eclectic, it simply aims to place as many talented musicians in one room at it can. To celebrate, organisers have pieced together a new mixtape featuring music from Sandra Kolstad, Phantom and The White Album alongside a host of others.
It's a decent selection of Scandinavian music, and can be found below.
